HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOKS – The Historical Society is gathering Clinton High School Yearbooks to be digitized by the Oklahoma Correctional Industries. We are gathering yearbooks from the 1950s-1999. We still need 1957, 1977, 1982. The Clinton High School has already furnished us with some issues not in our archives. They are returned in same condition sent. They do this free to us. Please contact Sharon Scott if you have any of missing issues.

MEMORIAL TREE – FOR THE SMITH-KIMBALL COMMUNITY CENTER LAWN
We are going to honor one of our past members, Robert Way, this year by purchasing and planting a tree on the SKCC grounds. Robert Way (1931-2020 ) was born in Clinton and had a wealth of local historical knowledge that he shared with many. Bob and his wife Mary Jane worked on several HSC projects and also donated items to the HSC archives. We are very grateful that the family designated our Society as a memorial funds recipient. Bob will be remembered in our hearts and with a tree and memorial plaque at the Smith-Kimball Community Center.

ARCHIVES
Three Lancaster Scrapbooks have been scanned by members, Nikki and Samuel Hall. They have used a program called cam-scanner on a phone. The results will be available soon at the library desk on a thumb drive. The articles and obituaries cover the 1920’s to 1950’s. Also Lenore Binns is working on cataloging our” Sell DeMuth Collection” of general store records, from the 1870’s to 1910’s.
We still need help with filing, pasting obituaries and cataloging books. We usually work on Fridays from 3-5 pm at the library. Let us know if you can help.
