Box 647, Clinton, MI 49236<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clinthis.org\">http:\/\/clinthis.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Feb. 12, 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPCOMING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>OLD RIVER RAISIN \u2013 JUST A PODUNK- 7PM <\/strong>&#8211; March 24-Clinton Township Public Library<\/p>\n<p>We Program by Kathleen Grady of Manchester.&nbsp; This program will tell of the former town of River Raisin or Podunk located about 4 miles north of Clinton along the River Raisin in Bridgewater Township also called Podunk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROWLAND EXHIBIT TO GO TO PLYMOUTH MICHIGAN LIBRARY-<\/strong> Members of our Society will be setting up the Rowland Exhibit at the Plymouth Library in April and May. &nbsp;This exhibit was designed in 2004 and this will be the ninth time it has been set up for public viewing. Last year we took it back to the Guardian Building (one of Rowland\u2019s designs) for its 75<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to help with the moving and setting up let Sharon know at 456-7198.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ANNUAL MEETING \u2013 7PM- APRIL 28 AND AWARDING BUILDING MARKERS&nbsp; to at least 4 historical homes &#8211; <\/strong>7:30 at the Clinton Township Public Library. Memberships dues are also collected at this meeting and officers elected.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>PLAY BALL : BUNNY FABRIQUE \u2013 7 pm. MAY 26 <\/em><\/strong>at Clinton Township Public Library<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bunny Fabrique (1887 -1960) born and died in Clinton and played for the Brooklyn Robins\/ Dodgers in 1916 &amp; 17.&nbsp; He started out playing on ball fields in Clinton with his brother Frank Fabrique. His grand niece, Jane Richards-Lerma has contributed photos for this research.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Scott will present the program with information found in our area and researched and written by David Krell of the Society for American Baseball Research.&nbsp; He will be on the phone to answer questions after the presentation. David Krell is the author of Our Bums: The Brooklyn Dodgers in History, Memory and Popular. &nbsp;Bring any baseball memorabilia, especially related to Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PICNIC \u2013 JUNE 23<sup>RD<\/sup>-6 pm&nbsp; <\/strong>This is a potluck\u2026bring your own dishes, Tea &amp; Lemonade provided.&nbsp; If you would like to host the picnic, let Pres. Norleen Hicks know &nbsp;at 517-442-8385.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUMMER TRIP- &nbsp;<\/strong>Are you interested in any of the following:&nbsp; Belle Isle, Frankenmuth Military Museum, Hanover Organ Museum, Grass Lake-Lost Railway Museum or other?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ARCHIVES- <\/strong>Archives are open for research on most Fridays 3-5pm. Check the library for the schedule. &nbsp;&nbsp;Help is always appreciated.&nbsp; Nikki Hall is still scanning a 1920\u2019s &amp;30s scrapbook with a &nbsp;phone.&nbsp; Lenore Binns is finishing up the Historical Society Scrapbooks.&nbsp; We still need someone to manage our obituary files and someone to convert audio tapes to digital. Don\u2019t hesitate to volunteer.
