PROGRAM ON CEMETERY CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION- NOVEMBER 6, 2021 AT 1PM AT THE SMITH KIMBALL COMMUNITY CENTER IN CLINTON, MI 49236
Bobbie Mathis, of Union City, MI will present a slide program on the proper historic materials and techniques for restoring cemeteries ad grave markers. We will start out at the Smith Kimball Community Center. After Ms. Mathis presentation, we will walk down to the Old East Cemetery across from the Elementary School. Two of the Historical Society of Clinton members, Karen Faust and George Service attended a workshop in June, co-taught by Ms. Mathis, and they have been working diligently to restore the stones and their location in our Old East/ Oakmount cemetery.
